Kiln formed glass has gained a strong popularity in recent years among architects and interior designers.
The glass is processed by firing in industrial kilns to pre-determined firing cycles and temperatures allowing the glass to conform to the mould, creating areas of varying depth and texture. After the slow cooling process the glass panel is removed from the kiln. One side remains smooth and slightly undulating, while the other, which was in contact with the mould, has a textured surface.
